A parodic advert is an advert that makes fun of a TV show, a film or other famous icons, they are designed to make people laugh and relate the advert to that icon. They make people laugh and are then spread through word of mouth which can make an advert very successful.
The advert below shows us about a child who has a darth vader costume on and thinks he has special powers, then as he goes near the volkswagen his dad press a button so the car makes a noise so the child then thinks he has 'the power'. This advert is a parody as it is taking the mic out of darth vader from the film star wars, this film is a very well known film, so this makes people remember this advert.
